Dottore ho mal di testa: alla ricerca del farmaco omeopatico…

Anche per il mal di testa, per i dolori che colpiscono il capo, in conseguenza a traumi o per altre ragioni, l’Omeopatia cura il paziente non il sintomo. E’ essenziale quindi trovare il rimedio ‘giusto’.

Also for headaches, for the pains that affect the head, as a result of trauma or other reasons, Homeopathy treats the patient not the symptom. Is therefore essential find the remedy ‘right’. 

Arnica montana:  per la sua prescrizione si deve pensare spesso ad una autentica storia di trauma; sensazioni di dolori, contusioni, a volte taglienti, come se un chiodo fosse stato inserito  nel cervello; confusione mentale.

Il  dolore è aggravato dallo stare fermo, migliorato avendo la testa sollevata . Le sensazioni doloranti sono su tutto il capo,  con   dolore acuto soprattutto sulla parte contusa e fratturata.

La commozione cerebrale in seguito al colpo in testa causa spesso irritazione cerebrale. In questi casi il rimedio viene prescritto  per via orale-5 gocce  alla 5 CH  (il farmaco va ripetuto sino a miglioramento)  ed si può anche utilizzare localmente sotto forma di tintura diluendo venti gocce  in un po’ d’ acqua.

Arnica montana: an authenticated history of the injury; the sensations are given as aching, bruised, occasionally sharp , as if a nail were being driven into the brain; mental confusion. The aching is aggravated by stooping, ameliorated by having the head elevated. The aching and bruised sensations were over the entire head; the sharp pain was over that part of the head where the skull had been fractured.Concussion of the brain is the most frequent injury causing the irritation.For such cases, give five drops of the 5th (the drug should be repente until improvement) internally and use a lotion of the tincture, twenty drops to the pint of water, locally.

Hypericum perfoliatum: questo rimedio è utile per la cefalea postraumatica.

In molti casi è complementare all’ Arnica , rimuove la ipersensibilità dopo che l’Arnica ha controllato la condizione di congestione e contusione. Il dolore è severo , descritto come se la testa molto dolorante scoppiasse. Hypericum è più indicato rispetto ad Arnica quando il trauma colpisce la colonna vertebrale  e specialmente quando la causa colpisce il capo ampiamente in seguito ad incidente automobilistico o ferroviario. Lo shock di Hypericum sia fisico sia psichico è molto più grande di quello di Arnica. Il dolore si estende al viso nel caso di Hypericum ancor più che in Arnica.

Le modalità sono: peggioramento nel tempo umido, nebbioso, miglioramento fasciando la testa tutt’ attorno.

Hypericum perfoliatum: this remedy is useful for cephalgia due to trauma . In many case it seems to be complementary to Arnica, removing the hyper-sensitiveness after Arnica has controller the congested, bruised condition. The pain is sever, decribed as bursting and aching. Hypericum is better than Arnica when the injury includes the spine, and especially when the cause has been more widely distributed as a shake-up in an auto or rail road-coach. Shock under Hypericum , wheter  physical or mental, is much greater than under Arnica. And, finally, the pain extends into the face more under Hypericum than under Arnica.

Modalities: worse in a damp, foggy weather; better from bending the head backward.

Nux vomica: è rimedio molto utilizzato per rimuovere gli effetti dell’ alcool ed altri stimolanti. Sensazioni come se fosse stato battuto: dolori tensivi, sensazione di confusione in testa, giramenti di testa, dolori di tipo contusivo. Sono associati sintomi  gastrici quali nausea e vomito con acidità e sensazione d’ amaro. Stimoli inefficaci a defecare con stipsi oppure diarrea ;  sintomi mentali di irritabilità e ipersensibilità per ogni situazione; umore cattivo, ipocondriaco, sensazione di peso a livello frontale.

Modalità:  peggiora al risveglio, per l’  esercizio intellettuale; migliora dopo aver fatto un pisolino e  legando  in modo molto stretto il capo.

Nux vomica: this remedy removes the effects of alcoholic and other stimulants. The sensations are aching as if beaten; tensive pain; heaviness; dull, confused; dizzy; sticking; bruised. The associated symptoms of the group are nausea and vomiting of the contents of the stomach , usually sour and “nasty”; ineffectual urging to stool, which may be constipated or diarrheal; mental irritability and sensitiveness to every impression; cross; ill-humored; hypochondriac. The forehead seems to bear the brunt of the attack.

Modalities: worse on first waking, from mental exertion; better after an interrupted nap; and binding the head tightly.

  

Pulsatilla: ha quasi tutti i sintomi di Nux Vomica: dolori contusivi con confusione mentale e soprattutto a livello frontale. Pulsatilla è più indicato nel dolore unilaterale. Ha nausea e vomito acido e talvolta anche amaro come Nux. Le differenze sono le seguenti: il paziente Pulsatilla è affabile , spesso di corporatura robusta, i sintomi psichici sono di solito  sfumati. Mangia cibi grassi e pasta e desidera bevande alcoliche.

Le modalità dei due rimedi sono differenti: la cefalea inizia la mattina al risveglio e poi aumenta peggiorando verso sera. Nux solitamente migliora verso sera.

Pulsatilla: has nearly all the symptoms of Nux Vomica; the dull, stupid, bruised, aching pains more in forehead. Pulsatilla is more often one-side than is Nux. It has the nausea and sour vomiting , also bad taste like Nux. We differetiate from the following: The Pulsatilla patient is fair, often stout; the mental depression is easily dispelled. Fatty foods and pastry were added to the alcoholic drink. The  modalities differ also : the headache is first felt on waking and  grows worse in the evening.Nux is usually better in the evening. 

Coffea: assomiglia a Nux nelle sue manifestazioni fisiche, per la sua estrema sensibilità a qualsiasi avvenimento, soprattutto per gli effetti dell’ alcool e del the. Il paziente Coffea  presenta in modo maggiore questa ipersensibilità rispetto a Nux. Dal punto di vista psichico i pazienti Coffea si distinguono da quelli Pulsatilla in quanto desiderano stare da soli con se stessi e si compiacciono anche della loro situazione di dolore.

Coffea: Coffea resembles Nux in his physical make-up, his estreme sensitiveness to all impressions, especially to the effects of alcohol and tea. The Coffea patient is much more demonstrable than the Nux.  Mentally the Coffea patient differ from the Pulsatilla in that they want to go off by themselves and enjoy their misery alone.

  

Chamomilla: assomiglia a Nux per la irritazione cerebrale che causa irritabilità. I pazienti sono bisbetici, di cattivo umore, stizzosi, brillanti, e hanno fatto uso smodato di alcool e caffè. Si ha successo soprattutto in pazienti di due tipi. Il primo tipo comprende che hanno abusato di alcool e assumono psicofarmaci per contrastare gli effetti dell’ alcool stesso. Il secondo tipo in quelli che assumono forti dosi di caffè per “calmare i nervi” in caso di ansia.

Chamomilla: resembles Nux in that irritation of the brain always produces mental irritability. The patients are crabbed, cross, peevish, snappy, having no more use for their friends than they have for themselves. In this group Chamomilla patient has neither nausea nor vomiting. Chamomilla has been more useful patients who have used both alcohol and coffe to excess. We have the best success with in two classes of patients. First, those who use alcohol to excess and take psicofarmaci to counteract the effect of alcohol. Second, those who have taken strong coffee “to quiet the nerves” after a fit of anger or some similar emotion.
